We had a wonderful time at the Ponderosa! The cabin was clean and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, which made our experience even more enjoyable. However, the river area was crowded at times, which made finding a nice spot to relax a bit challenging. Overall, the combination of great amenities and beautiful surroundings made it a memorable getaway.

I had a very mixed experience at the resort. The location by the river is breathtaking, and the grounds are really well-kept. However, I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of our cabin, and I felt unfairly charged after my stay. Despite these issues, I appreciated the quick responses from management when I raised concerns.

My stay at the resort was enjoyable, especially with the beautiful location by the American River and close proximity to local attractions like the gold rush museum. The cabin we rented was fantastic with great amenities, although I noticed some areas, like the bathrooms, could use a bit of an update. The service was pleasant, but I did experience a concern with poorly marked hazards while entering and leaving the park. Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort but hope they address the safety issues.

However, the campground felt overcrowded and not well-maintained, which didn't make for a pleasant stay overall. With several amenities closed or in poor condition, I can't say I would recommend this place.
